Standards & Trust
Our approach
Salto Health is not a medical provider, and this site does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Instead, we focus on supportive care; the tools, resources, and everyday support that people often use alongside professional care.
Our goal is to help people feel more supported and better prepared, whether they are navigating care themselves or helping someone they love.
How we select products
We curate products intentionally. We do not aim to offer everything, only items that align with our standards for support, safety, and everyday usefulness.
What we look for
Products considered for inclusion generally meet the following criteria:
- Designed to support comfort, routine, or daily living
- Low-claim and non-diagnostic
- Clear about materials, ingredients, or intended use
- Commonly used in care, recovery, or caregiving contexts
- Respectful of the people using them
Products are reviewed periodically, and we reserve the right to remove items that no longer meet our standards.
Nutrition & wellness products
Some items on Salto Health support general nourishment, hydration, or comfort.
These products:
- Are not medical treatments
- Are not substitutes for professional care
- Are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease
If you have dietary restrictions, medical conditions, or questions about whether a product is right for you, we encourage you to consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Guidance content
We offer articles and resources designed to support understanding, reflection, and everyday decision-making.
What guidance is
- Informational and supportive
- Evidence-informed where appropriate
- Focused on lived experience, context, and options
- Intended to help people prepare for conversations with care teams
What guidance is not
- Medical advice
- Clinical instruction
- A replacement for professional care
Support registries
Salto Health offers support registries as a way for people to support survivors in a personal and meaningful way.
Support registries
- are free, optional and user-created
- allow individuals to share what would be most helpful
- can include products or subscription services
- are designed to reduce pressure and guesswork
Registry creators control privacy settings and what is shared.
Partnerships & affiliate links
Some links on Salto Health may be affiliate links, which means Salto Health may receive a small commission if a purchase is made at no additional cost to you.
What this means
- Affiliate relationships help support the operation of Salto Health
- Inclusion of a product does not imply medical endorsement
- Partners do not control our content or recommendations
- We do not accept pay-to-play placement
All products and services must meet our standards regardless of any financial relationship.
Editorial independence
Our content decisions are guided by:
- User needs
- Care relevance
- Accuracy and clarity
- Alignment with our mission
Commercial considerations never override these principles. We maintain editorial independence across all guidance and recommendations.
Privacy & respect
We are committed to respecting your privacy and dignity.
- We do not collect protected health information (PHI)
- We do not require medical details to use this site
- Registry privacy settings are always user-controlled
You can review our full privacy practices in our Privacy Policy.
What Salto Health is and is not
Salto Health is:
- A supportive care marketplace
- A place for guidance and everyday tools
- A way to give and receive help thoughtfully
Salto Health is not:
- A medical provider
- A substitute for professional medical care
- A general fund, donation, or assistance program
Registry Activity & Dormancy Policy
Salto Health is a support-gift registry — a way to organize the help the people around you already want to give. Rather than a fund or a donation program, it is something a touch warmer: you choose what you genuinely need, and friends and family know exactly how to help.
A registry works in three steps:
Create — Start your registry.
Add — Choose items that would genuinely help — from comfort to practical care.
Share — Send your registry link to the friends and family who want to support you.
Once you share your link, the people who care about you can pick something from your registry and send it directly to you. The sharing step is essential — a registry can only help once the people around you know it exists.
What “dormant” means
A registry is considered dormant when it has had no activity for 30 days. Activity includes adding, editing, or removing items, logging in to your registry, someone viewing it, or a purchase being made.
This applies to all registries, whether or not they contain items — because a registry that isn’t being used isn’t yet bringing support to anyone.
What happens to a dormant registry
We’ll always email you first. Five days before a registry is set aside, we send a reminder so you have the chance to keep it. Keeping it is simple — any activity resets the clock.
If a registry stays dormant, we archive it. Archiving doesn’t remove you from Salto Health, and it isn’t goodbye — you’re always welcome to create a new registry whenever the timing is right. It only takes a few minutes.
Why we do this
An unused registry can’t do the one thing it’s meant to — support. A registry only helps once it’s being used: items added, link shared, support arriving. We send reminders because we’d always rather see one come to life than set it aside. An empty registry doesn’t help anyone, least of all the person who needs it most.
It also means there’s one less thing to think about. If you no longer need your registry, you don’t have to remember to come back and close anything — it will simply be set aside after 30 days. And because archiving removes a registry from public view, we’re not holding onto personal information longer than it’s being used.

Items purchased directly on the Salto Health website are fulfilled by third party vendors. Salto Health will help facilitate Returns & Exchanges with the vendor.
However, as an affiliate platform, we do not sell or ship affiliate linked products ourselves, so questions about specific items (sizing, orders, returns, support, etc.) should go directly to the retailer or brand.
We’re here to share thoughtful guidance and helpful resources whenever we can.
A final note
Care looks different for everyone. Our role is to curate products and services so that you can make an informed decision based on personal needs. Salto Health aims to support survivorship with clarity, respect, and thoughtful options along the way.
