How It Works

Salto Support Registries

Supporting someone through cancer whether you’re a survivor, caregiver, or friend - can feel overwhelming. Salto makes it simple, thoughtful, and meaningful. This page walksthrough how the registry works, who can use it, and why sharing it matters.

For Survivors & Caregivers

Starting Your Registry

1. Choose the items that feel helpful for your everyday comfort, energy, and practical needs.

2. Even 10-15 thoughtfully chosen items are enough to guide loved ones. You can always add more.

- Keep it private means you’ll share the link with only those you choose.

- Add a password if you want extra control. (Loved ones will need both the link and the password if they want to purchase items from your registry.)

- Or leave it searchable by name and city — whatever feels right for your comfort.

- Sharing allows those who want to help, do so in a meaningful way.

- Identify your network: family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, social groups

- Use natural channels: text chains, group chats, email, Facebook, or community boards.

Keep the message simple:

1. “Thank you to those who have offered help. We’ve set up a registry with items that would be truly helpful during this time. Here’s the link if you’d like to help.” Or

2. “We’ve set up a registry for mom to help support her everyday needs. Here's the link if you’d like to help.”

Create Registry
Why it matters: Many people want to help but don't know how. Your registry gives them a clear way to act on that desire, turning goodwill into practical support without pressure or guesswork.

Feel Good About Helping

Feel Good About Helping

- By ordering from a support registry, you’re providing exactly what’s needed, without having to guess or have the survivor or caregiver explain to multiple people.

- Every item purchased is a small act of meaningful support.

Sharing Your Registry

Why It’s So Important

Sharing your registry is an act of empowerment.

- Removes guesswork for loved ones who want to help.

- Reduces repeated requests or explanations for caregivers.

- Creates a network of support that is visible and actionable.

Tips for sharing naturally

- This link is incredibly helpful for friends and loved ones who want to help but don’t always know what to say or how to ask.

- Ask trusted friends or family to help share the link with others

- Keep it simple – no big explanations needed: “We are so thankful to those who’ve asked how to help. Here’s a list of suggestions that could really help during this time.”

- Include links in group texts, social media posts, or emails.

- The Salto Support Registry transforms asking for help from an awkward or difficult ask into a thoughtful invitation.

- Just as a baby registry or wedding registry allows loved ones to help, so does the Salto Support Registry. Your circle wants to show up for you. The Registry allows them to do so in a truly meaningful way.

- You are creating a circle of care where every contribution counts.

At Salto Health, our goal is to make support easy, dignified, and uplifting for everyone involved.
